The name says it all: Contradiction pairs two bourbons that pull in opposite directions. A wheated bourbon distilled at Smooth Ambler is married with a sourced rye-based bourbon, and the result is a 750 ml bottling at 46% ABV.
Young wheat leads on the palate, then oak, corn, honey, vanilla and caramel fill in behind it. Warm cinnamon and assertive rye spice carry the finish, so each sip lands a little differently than the last.
