Penderyn Ruby Port Single Cask Secret Bottle Shop Exclusive Whisky
Introducing a rare and exceptional Welsh whisky, hand selected by The Secret Bottle Shop: the Penderyn Ruby Port Single Cask, matured in an ultra-small Blood Tub cask and bottled at natural cask strength of 59% ABV. With only 43 individually numbered bottles in existence, this is a one-of-a-kind release that showcases both the craftsmanship of Penderyn and the character drawn from a highly active cask.
- This Single Malt opens with a soft wave of ruby port sweetness, immediately bringing ripe red berries to the fore - think juicy cherry, raspberry, and strawberry - layered over deeper notes of fig and raisin.
- Hints of cinnamon and vanilla round out the aroma, adding warmth and a touch of spice. The palate is rich and fruity, with bold flavours of red grapes and blackcurrant, followed by indulgent notes of honey and toffee.
- These are elegantly balanced by warming spice - clove and nutmeg - and a structured dryness from oak tannins.
- The finish is smooth and warming, with lingering berry sweetness and subtle spice, leaving a drying yet satisfying oak presence on the palate.
